Under the guidance and direction of the Program Manager, the Computer and Job Skills Teacher will:

Instruct adult students in a small group computer lab setting in the basics of internet browsing and keyboard typing. Then, utilizing PCM Courseware, instruct students on how to use Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Provide life skills instruction such as job applications, interviewing, follow up letters, networking, resume writing, and desirable workplace dress and behaviors. Uphold the mission, vision, and statement of faith of Begin Anew

Previous teaching or tutoring experience is helpful, but not required. We are looking for a willingness to serve and a desire to help others achieve their goals.

Class days and times vary by location. All our locations offer evening classes, and the Franklin location also has daytime classes. We ask that volunteers commit to one 2-hour shift each week for an entire semester.

Digital Fundraising – Start a Facebook campaign, dedicate your birthday, or raise funds through a peer-to-peer campaign. Join an Event Committee – We plan two events each year taking place in Brentwood and Madison. Whether you love decorating, writing, securing tables or sponsorships, we have a place for you! Plan a new fundraising idea – Perhaps your creativity and passion matched with our mission will launch the next IT thing!
