Volunteer: Fitness Games


Special Olympics Tennessee offers a vibrant, year-round calendar of competitions across 16 sports, serving more than 18,000 athletes statewide. At the 2025 Fall Games, athletes will get the opportunity to compete at the Fitness Games. We can't wait to see our athletes and Unified partners shine on the course!

Fitness Games volunteer responsibilities include: 

set up + break down of fitness stations; sled push, agility course, farmer's carry, snatch + go, med ball throw and kettleball deadlift   file roles of Station Leader, Station Scorekeeper and Station Support  facilitate flow of competition assist in counting/tracking scores celebrate with athletes!  

No experience needed, just bring your energy and enthusiasm! 

Fitness Games Stations: Please list your station preference when prompted during registration. We’ll do our best to assign you accordingly!

Sled Push: Athletes push a sled 80 yards total (40 down and back) for time. Tests power, endurance, and aerobic capacity. Agility Course: Athletes will perform the “box drill” putting their agility, coordination, and stamina to the test. Farmer’s Carry: For time, athletes complete 5 rounds of a 40-yard farmer’s carry (20y down and back) and 5 med ball squats. Tests balance, strength, and mobility. Snatch and Go: Athletes complete 5 rounds of 5 double-arm snatches, a 15-yard sprint, grab a cone and return. Timed event testing coordination, agility, endurance, and pacing. Med Ball Throw: Athletes throw a med ball down a 20-yard lane and back for time. Tests power and coordination. Kettlebell Deadlift: Athletes perform max deadlift reps in 1 minute with one kettlebell. Tests strength, flexibility, and movement control.

What to Know Before You Arrive: 

Arrive 5 minutes early and check in at the registration desk  Please bring a photo ID for check-in - you will reserve a volunteer shirt  This event will be outdoors  Free parking will be available on site. We recommend wearing athletic attire and comfortable, closed-toe shoes, as you'll be on your feet for most of the event  Bring a filled water bottle and stay hydrated  Volunteers under age 16 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperone. Please contact the event coordinator to register them

Volunteer: State Fall Games | Packing Crew

At the 2025 State Fall Games, we will be hosting state flag football, state cornhole, fitness competitions, Healthy Athletes and Young Athletes events  Before and after the athletes arrive and the competitions kick off, there’s a ton of magic that needs to happen behind the scenes and that’s where 2025 Fall Games | Packing Crew comes in!

Load Up Crew volunteer responsibilities include: 

Load up sports equipment, event supplies, and signage Help organize and pack up for smooth transport to the venuebonus: spend time with the incredible SOTN staff!No experience needed, just bring your energy and enthusiasm! 

What to Know Before You Arrive:
