Have community service hours you need to knock out? Get a big chunk of them out of your way in one day at Nashville's biggest Hispanic cultural celebration: Fiestas Patrias. WE WILL SIGN OFF ON DOUBLE HOURS; you serve 4 hours, we sign off on 8. You serve 8 hours, we sign off on 16!
Fiestas Patrias is Mexico's Independence Day, and HFF loves to celebrate with an all-day festival with food, kid's activities, and of course the best Mariachi live music. In partnership with Plaza Mariachi, this event is HFF's biggest fundraisers. Thousands of people come to celebrate and take part in the fun!
We need lots of help from non-Spanish speakers and Spanish speakers in making this event possible:
- monitoring the kids area: bounce houses, kids stage, and other activities
- ticketing at the ticket and booths (bi-lingual needed)
- setting up VIP tent
- distributing waters to volunteers
Two shifts are available, however, if you'd like to serve the whole event you are more than welcome to!
Shift 1: 11am–3pm FULL
Shift 2: 3pm–7pm
After your shift ends, you're free to stay in the festival for free and enjoy the program and fireworks. (The festival itself ends at 10pm)
Because this event is so huge, volunteers have specific parking. Those details will be given to those who sign up as the event date draws closer.
The mission of the Hispanic Family Foundation is to strengthen Hispanic and Immigrant families though programs and community outreach events.
