Volunteer: Free Grocery Distribution at Richland Hills

You will help facilitate the distribution of free grocery donations in West Nashville at Richland Hills Apartments.

Please arrive at 3:45 pm at Richland Hills Apartments, 5800 Maudina Ave., Nashville, TN 37209. We meet by building B and the playground. Once the food truck arrives, you will help unload, set up, distribute, and help community members. After you help clean up and reload the food truck. 

IMPORTANT: We require background checks for all adults 18 and over before you can serve. Please be on the lookout for an email with a link to fill out a background check through Checkr. If your check has not cleared before the day of your service, you will not be able to serve.

Volunteer: Free Grocery Distribution outside New Covenant Christian Church

You will help facilitate the distribution of free grocery donations in North Nashville in the parking lot of New Covenant Christian Church (2201 Osage Ave.)

1. Please arrive at Costco in West Nashville (6670 Charlotte Pike) at 1:30 pm to help weigh and load the Dream Streets food truck with the grocery donations.

2. Then you will go to the food distribution site at 2201 Osage Ave. Nashville, TN 37208, to help unload, set up, and tear down the free grocery distribution.

The after-school arts program will focus on four core areas: fine arts, academic enrichment, emotional-focused therapy, and supplemental meals.⁠ Mentors help facilitate each component of the program by providing a friendly face, loving spirit, and support to hired teachers working to provide tutoring or fine arts instruction. In addition, you will serve as a trusted mentor and friend to children, helping to ensure positive behavior choices and peer interactions.   

ONBOARDING EXPECTATIONS: It is standard procedure at Dream Streets to fill out a background check. You are required to complete this before starting any volunteer role. Because of the nature of our work and mobile accessibility in our communities of service, you may come in contact with a minor even if the position you are volunteering for is not student-oriented. We will send the link in an email after you complete this sign-up.
