Volunteers are expected to warmly and clearly welcome visitors and groups as they enter the gallery.
- You are required to have basic knowledge of the history of the gallery and arts at Fisk University, and the exhibitions currently installed.
- Dress Code for Special events (evening and Sunday): Business Casual
- Dress Code Monday through Friday: Fisk Gear, Business Casual, Refrain from derogatory dress, revealing clothes, bonnets or hats(hoodies should not cover your head).
- Headphones Policy: Please remove headphones and earbuds while you are in the gallery.
Keep in mind, that this is a place of business and a cultural institution that represents the storied history of the university. You are ultimately representing Fisk.
Important Note:
-Do not sign up for a shift if you have a class that is still in session when it starts or meets at the same time. It will not be approved.
-No more than three students should sit at the front desk area at a given time.
-As long as there are at least two volunteers, take turns completing a gallery walk upstairs and downstairs.
