Students will assist the Special Collections Department with organizing and categorizing digital scans created for researchers and scholarly requests. Volunteers will help establish consistent file organization, apply descriptive metadata, and improve the accessibility and management of our growing digital collections. This project will help streamline departmental workflows, strengthen digital collection management, and make materials easier for researchers to discover and use. Volunteers will also gain valuable exposure to the work of an academic special collections department and learn more about the unique historical materials, collections, and research resources held by Fisk University.
